DHS Construction branding

DHS Construction were in need of a new brand, something bold and slick.


I started with some rough concepts to get an idea of the general style and layout:

The standard “DHS” typography wasn’t really unique, so I started playing with different ways of incorporating them into a mark that stood out among other construction companies:

I was really happy with the direction of the final few ideas, which incorporated the letter forms into a shape that resembles a house. Pairing this mark with the DDC Hardware font makes a strong, clean, easily recognisable brand.

The brand mark is constructed to contain the “DHS” letters:

Overall this was a really successful little project! Collateral included business cards, email signatures, and vehicle signwriting.
